Job Overview
The AWS Solutions Architect is responsible for identifying and matching AWS technology opportunities with a customer’s business issues and objectives, as well as channel partner training & enablement. Having wide-ranging field sales engineering experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a comprehensive, evolving cloud computing platform provided by Amazon that includes a mixture of infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and packaged software as a service (SaaS) offerings.
Duties and Responsibilities
• The Solutions Architect builds technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operates as their trusted advisor. • He/she manages the overall technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency. • He/she will link customer needs to feasible solutions on AWS technology, for a variety of use cases. • He/she will share best practices, technical content (e.g. whitepapers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS through workshops, webinars, or by presenting in conferences. • He/she will be hands-on and will learn how to use the AWS platform and be capable to show to customers how they can use it too.
Qualifications and Skills Basic Qualifications
· Background in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps · Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience. · Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and in Arabic language · A passion for technology and for learning
Preferred Qualifications (will be a plus if the candidate has)
Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating large scale and impactful IT systems - either on premises or in the cloud · Working knowledge of cloud native architectures · Knowledge of a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java, etc.) and/or scripting, Infrastructure as Code etc. · Experience working in a customer-facing role or a role which required presenting in front of customers · AWS certification (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional) or other Industry certification
