About the Job
Lead 2D, 3D, land, marine, time and depth data processing (time, depth migration and AVO), Test (Signal test, noise tests) and Survey Design projects (any kind of design requirements) to include new technology methods such as Slip Sweep, DS3, DS4, DSS, ISS for high productivity and high resolution plus flip flop method. Other responsibilities include interfacing with clients (internal or external) regarding project status and quality control.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Field data processing regarding the high productivity techniques (Slip Sweep, DS3, DS4, DSS, ISS, etc..)
▪ Field parameters and Test in general
▪ Monitor and control the quality of the seismic data
▪ Control the quality of the seismic source signal
▪ Prepare and deliver various geological maps and technical presentations
▪ Works within project schedules and deadlines for the preparation and provision of project deliverables both during project execution and for final deliverables. Investigates and solves complex data quality issues
▪ Lead courses to train and mentor the client staff
▪ Communicates effectively, verbally and written, to enable cohesive team environment.
▪ Follows all company policies and procedures
▪ Interface with key stakeholders while leading multidiscipline teams
▪ Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE
▪ Bachelor of Science or higher in Geophysics, Geology or Physics
▪ 10+ years or more in processing design, noise-signal test, high productivity, and resolution technology software
SKILLS
▪ Expert in seismic data acquisition and processing
▪ Working knowledge of Geoland, Geocluster, Geovation
▪ High Productivity Techniques: Slip Sweep, DS3, DS4, DSS, ISS
▪ Field Parameters and Tests
▪ Experience on land, transition zones, shallower water with energy sources such as vibroseis and dynamite.
▪ Good understanding of geophysical and geological principles
▪ Sound knowledge of seismic data formats and resources management
▪ Comprehensive knowledge to solve the more complex geophysical problems
▪ Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
▪ Capable of working independently while also working in a team environment
