Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Power Production Industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all power generation, transmission, and storage equipment is operating efficiently, safely and at optimal capacity. The engineer will need to have in-depth knowledge of power generation, power transmission, power storage, gas turbines and related power industry service and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform maintenance and repairs on power generation, transmission, and storage equipment including gas turbines, boilers, generators, switchgear, transformers, and other related equipment.
•Troubleshoot and diagnose faults and breakdowns in power systems and equipment, and develop solutions to restore operations.
•Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and industry standards.
•Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and reduce maintenance costs.
•Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to schedule maintenance activities and ensure timely completion of maintenance work.
•Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and provide reports to management as required.
•Provide technical support to other engineers and technicians in the team, and develop training programs to improve their skills.
•Keep up-to-date with new technologies and developments in the power industry to continually improve service delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
•At least 10 years of experience in power generation, transmission, storage, and related service and maintenance.
•Knowledge of gas turbines, boilers, generators, switchgear, transformers, and related power industry equipment.
•Experience in developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
•Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other departments and stakeholders.
