Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Head to lead our electrical engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire electrical engineering department and overseeing all electrical engineering projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in electrical engineering and a background in contracting and construction with a focus on commercial and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead, manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers and support staff, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required standard.
•Oversee the design and implementation of electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
•Ensure compliance with all electrical engineering codes, standards and regulations.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project partners.
•Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
•Develop and implement best practices for electrical engineering processes, procedures and systems.
•Manage the procurement and installation of electrical equipment and systems.
•Review and approve electrical engineering designs and specifications.
•Ensure all projects are completed in accordance with the company's quality and safety standards.
•Provide technical guidance and support to other departments and teams.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on commercial and industrial projects.
•Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of engineers and support staff.
•Proven experience overseeing the design and implementation of electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
•Knowledge of electrical engineering codes, standards and regulations.
•Experience with procurement and installation of electrical equipment and systems.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
•Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
•Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical engineering software is preferred.
