Description:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our dairy/food factory. The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring plant reliability and maintaining efficient production and production lines. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in engineering, preferably with expertise in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering and a strong background in maintanance. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is essential for implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The Operations Manager will lead a team of professionals and work closely with various departments to optimize operations and ensure the highest level of quality and productivity.
Responsibilities:
Plant Operations Management:
•Oversee all aspects of the dairy/food factory operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
•Implement strategies to enhance plant reliability and minimize downtime, focusing on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
•Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality across production lines.
•Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
•Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
•Lead and supervise a team of production staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and achieve operational goals.
•Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
•Directly overseeing the maintenance department to develop and execute effective maintenance plans and supervising New projects ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.
•Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot issues and provide timely solutions, minimizing disruptions to production processes.
•Monitor equipment and utilities reliability and carryout improvements or upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.
Quality and Compliance:
•Ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
•Implement and maintain appropriate quality control measures and inspections throughout the production process.
•Collaborate with the quality control department to investigate and address any non-conformities or customer complaints.
Qualifications and Skills:
•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
•Proven experience (10 years) in maintenance or operations management within a dairy/food manufacturing environment.
•strong leadership and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
•Strong knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
•Solid understanding of production processes, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques.

•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
•Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality management systems is a plus.
