Key Responsibilities:
- Web Performance Analysis:
Collect and analyze website performance data, including page load times, server response times, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement to enhance website speed and overall performance. Collaborate with the development team to implement performance optimizations and monitor their impact.
Analyze user behavior data, such as click-through rates, bounce rates, conversion rates, and navigation patterns. Identify user experience issues and opportunities for user engagement improvement. Propose data-backed solutions to enhance the overall user experience on the website.
- A/B Testing and Experimentation:
Design and conduct A/B tests and experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different web design and content strategies. Analyze test results and provide insights to guide decision-making for iterative improvements.
- Data Reporting and Visualization:
Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track website performance metrics and KPIs. Visualize data in a clear and meaningful manner to facilitate data-driven discussions within the development team.
- Data Integration and Data Quality:
Integrate data from various sources, such as web analytics tools, customer databases, and other relevant repositories. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by conducting data validation and cleansing.
- Web Analytics Tools Management:
Administer web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) to monitor website traffic and user interactions. Stay up-to-date with the latest features and best practices of web analytics tools.
- Collaboration and Insights Sharing:
Collaborate with web developers, designers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Present findings and insights to the development team and other relevant stakeholders, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Web Development, Statistics, or related disciplines. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on web analytics and web performance analysis.
- Proficiency in web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks.
- Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies and tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey complex data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
