Description:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards for the cement or building chemicals manufacturing process.
- Oversee and lead a team of quality control technicians and inspectors to ensure product quality meets industry standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and testing of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and research and development, to identify and address quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage and maintain quality documentation, including quality manuals, reports, and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure quality performance, reporting findings to senior management.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes related to cement or building chemicals manufacturing, ensuring the organization's compliance.
- Conduct training programs for staff to enhance their understanding of quality standards, processes, and procedures.
- Implement and maintain a robust supplier quality management program to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials and components.
- Lead and support efforts to achieve industry certifications and accreditations related to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Foster a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget, allocating resources effectively to meet quality goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science) is required; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control roles within the cement or building chemicals industry.
- Strong knowledge of industry-specific quality standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of quality professionals.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Total Quality Management).
- Experience with quality management systems and software.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve quality goals.
