Description: Juniper resident engineer - Firewalls #2 This is a fixed term 1 year contract that can be renewed. Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - On-site support Job Description This is a highly technical role, providing post-sales on-site support. The Resident Engineer will be required to develop and maintain expertise on the products deployed within the customer’s network. Requirements: Detailed technical experience in the installation and operation of Firewalls across different functions, This includes hands-on operation of management tools and network analyzers. A detailed understanding of Network Security, and the protocols surrounding IP service provider networks. These skills should include Strong Knowledge of Routing Protocols, L2 Switching, Spanning Tree, VLAN and VLAN manipulation, and TCP/IP fundamentals. IP subnetting and supernetting and hierarchical routing principles, Routing protocol operation (OSPF, and BGP), Routing policies at BGP peering points, e. VPNs and the associated tunneling technologies (IPSEC, DHCP, Routing Protocols, etc.) Strong Experience with Juniper security SRX-Series, attack mitigation methods, and Network security concepts is highly required. Strong knowledge of IP, NAT, IPSec, Security Rule processing, and Application Layer Gateway. Understanding of Clustering and basic infrastructure protocols like SYSLOG, SNMP, DNS, NTP, RADIUS, and Telecommunication Protocols Strong understanding and expert-level knowledge of core routing and Service Provider Network Design and Architecture. Automation and scripting experience a plus Advanced certifications such as JNCIP, and JNCIE. The candidate will work on-site at the customer premises in Riyadh, Saudi Arabi Ideal Strengths and Experiences: Product Knowledge: SRX, QFX, EX, Junos Space Expert level relationship management, communications skills, and interpersonal skills to manage face-to-face communications daily with multiple levels of customer management and engineering staff across multiple departments within the host company in a responsible and professional fashion. Customer culture is a strong technical team with deep expertise across multiple layers of technical responsibility. Expert-level troubleshooting methodology to isolate and identify configuration, design, and software anomalies; ability to clearly articulate findings in written and verbal communications with engineering staff
