  • Description:

    -Technical Duties
    •Developing, prescribing and updating engineering specifications and standardization based on international principles.
    •Accountable for estimation, tendering and designing of steel structure (PEB & SS); responsible until the handover of shop drawing to Production.
    •Supervising the process of tender evaluation; preparation related reports.
    •Coordinating with Production Manager and Sales Manager to discuss project specifications and procedures.
    •Conducting meetings with consultants or clients for technical matters as per business needs.
    •Reviewing and analyzing the depending on complexity.
    •Studying client’s requirement and specifications to reflect them on designs and drawings in accordance with international standards.
    •Studying and validating job technical specifications/contract requirements.
    •Maintaining a timeline to ensure that engineering schedules are met.
    •Overseeing company’s drafting requirements.
    •Overseeing design of steel structure construction projects prepared by Design and Estimation Section as per the specifications and requirements of clients.
    •Providing specifications for special buy-out items.
    •Supervising the preparation of research and development studies to introduce new product, service or new technology.
    -Setting Department Plans and Programs
    •Setting department plans and programs as part of the division plan in order to achieve the division functional strategies.
    •Setting the budget for the department as overall and organizational entities under supervision in particular with the participation of the organizational entities under supervision to be submitted to the direct supervisor for review.
    •Defining and executing plans for development and increasing productivity for the department and supervising setting these plans for each of the organizational entities under supervision.
    •Controlling the financial performance of the department and keeping it within the set budget.
    •Controlling the technical performance of the department and setting Key Performance Indicators for monitoring the performance of the organizational entities under supervision.
    •Issuing regulations, technical and administrative decisions for achieving plans and programs which complies with the approved authorities and responsibilities.
    -General Administrative Duties
    •Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates for reviewing progress and work flow, discussing their suggestions and taking suitable actions accordingly.
    •Preparing periodic reports with respect to the activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor for review.
    •Specifying manpower requirements according to the recruitment and selection system and as per the human resources planning practices at the company.
    •Identifying training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of the training courses in coordination with the concerned employees in the HR & Admin Department.
    •Following-up employee affairs including vacations, leaves …etc.
    •Conducting performance appraisals for subordinates according to scheduled plans and recommending necessary actions as per the applied practices at the company.
    •Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibilities of the position in case of absence or whenever the need arises.
    -Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    •Estimation accuracy.
    •Number of approved versus rejected designs.
    •Design simplicity and stock materials utilization
    •Products development cost.
    •Development speed (time to market) for new products.
    •Time invested in product design.
    •Time invested in improving processes.
    •Total research and development expenses.
    -Job Specification
    •B.Sc degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
    •15 years of experience in Pre-engineered Building (PEB) and structural steel design and detailing.
    •Bi Lingual (Arabic & English)
    •Knowledge of International and Saudi Codes.
    •Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
    •Certified of Project Management Professional (PMP).
    •Professional Knowledge of stress analysis.
