Description: Responsibilities:
•Coordinate with the Asset Management Engineers, Operations and SCADA Engineer and the Control Room for optimizing and executing the activities related to the wellfield and pumping stations.
•Follow up the maintenance schedule and spare parts withdrawal of the conveyance pumps and well pumps.
•Optimize the power consumption and study the power saving through the project, including the wellfield, pumping stations and auxiliaries,
•Manage all aspects of the Aquifer model, collect, and validate all the necessary data needed to keep the model updated
•In association with operation constrains such as availability of the wells, maintenance program, water quality etc… run the aquifer model to optimize the use of the well field.
•Propose the best strategy to make the best use of the wellfield and the pumping strategy.
•Managing and verifying the operational data for reporting on the wellfield operation activities.
•Prepare and implement the well preventive maintenance plan.
•Assess the Key Performance Indicators of the production wells and their pumps.
•Run the CCTV camera to check on the integrity of the production wells.
•Follow-up the well rehabilitation activities needed for the production wells.
•Monitor the sustainability of the water abstraction through the production wells at the required quantity.
•Prepare the report on the performance of the well pumps and the conveyance pumps.
•Follow-up the maintenance schedule of the conveyance pumps and maintain the historical maintenance records.
•Comply with all state legislation, regulations, related to QA/QC or the protection of the environment.
•Follow all QA/QC and environmental policies and procedures in place within DAOM.
•Follow all instructions given in relation to the protection of the health and safety of themselves and others and protecting the environment.
•Ensure compliance of operations with the requirements of all authorities and legislation, policies and procedures in relation to the well and pumps activities.
•Ensure operations are carried out safely for staff, the environment, and the community.
•Report QA/QC and environmental performance of water conveyance system.
Requirements:
•Degree in an engineering/geologist discipline related to water well drilling and management.
•3 to 8 years of experience.
•Competencies gained through substantial experience in technical development and management.
•Good understanding of water treatment processes and water conveyance system, operation, and maintenance of water conveyance system.
•Substantial experience in technical development and water treatment operations management.
•Experience in the water industry would be of benefit.
•Work in Arabic and English languages.
•Have a valid driving licence.
