Description: Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for power plant projects, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and specifications for procurement needs.
- Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating terms and contracts to secure the best value and quality for equipment and materials.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and availability of critical components.
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and efficient supply chain operations.
- Monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and international trade laws throughout the procurement process.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation, preparing reports for management review.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
-Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
-Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement within the power plant industry, with a focus on international projects.
-Proven expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for equipment, materials, and services.
-Familiarity with Central Asia Region markets such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, etc., is highly desirable.
-Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural teams.
-Proficiency in relevant procurement software and tools.
-Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is a plus.
