Description: Responsibilities:
1. Cost Analysis and Evaluation:
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis for metal manufacturing processes, including raw materials, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Analyze cost data to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Provide cost estimates for new and existing products based on detailed analysis and market trends.
2. Estimation and Proposal Development:
- Prepare accurate and timely project estimates for bids and proposals.
- Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Ensure all estimates adhere to company policies, industry standards, and client requirements.
3. Project Management Support:
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of manufacturing projects, considering cost, resources, and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, costs, and deviations from budgets.
- Provide cost-related guidance and support to project managers and teams throughout project lifecycle.
4. Vendor and Supplier Relations:
- Evaluate supplier bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings without compromising quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Create detailed cost reports, including variance analysis and cost projections.
- Maintain accurate records of cost data, estimates, and project documentation.
- Prepare and present cost-related reports to management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
6. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements related to metal manufacturing.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization within the manufacturing environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in costing, estimation, and project management within the metals manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing cost analysis, estimating projects, and delivering accurate proposals.
- Expertise in cost modeling, cost estimation techniques, and financial analysis.
- Strong proficiency in bilingual communication with fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, cost estimation software, and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
