Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Civil Engineering Technical Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in superstructure construction, with over 15 years of experience, and a proven track record in managing technical aspects of large-scale construction projects. Prior experience in the GCC region is a significant advantage. The candidate must be bilingual in Arabic and English to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Oversight: Manage all technical office activities related to superstructure construction projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, codes, and best practices.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Design Coordination: Review and approve structural designs, drawings, and specifications. Coordinate with design teams to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes, conducting regular site inspections to ensure construction meets design specifications and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. Provide clear and effective communication in both Arabic and English.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, draftsmen, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations for senior management and clients.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PE) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on superstructure construction. Significant experience in the GCC region is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of structural design, construction methods, and project management tools. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS, Primavera).
- Language Skills: Fluency in both Arabic and English is required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Ability to inspire and guide teams to achieve project goals.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capability to handle complex technical challenges and make informed decisions.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
