Description:
Responsibilities:
- Establish and Lead Training Department: Develop and expand the training department, including recruiting and hiring team members.
- Design and Equip Training Center: Collaborate to scope, design, and outfit the new Training Center and training equipment.
- Develop Training Policies and Programs: Create and update training policies, programs, and procedures to ensure effective training in HSE, Operations, and Maintenance.
- Manufacturing Training Plans: Ensure sufficient training levels across the manufacturing organization in alignment with site policies and procedures.
- Technical Competency Model: Build and maintain a technical competency model.
- Effective Learning Experiences: Incorporate adult learning and instructional design principles, aligning with business priorities.
- Measure and Improve Training Effectiveness: Assess program effectiveness and make improvements to enhance outcomes.
- Leadership Development: Serve as an expert on leadership effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Experts: Partner with internal and external subject matter experts to deliver learning solutions.
- Employee Qualification Strategies: Develop strategies and tools to ensure employee competency.
- Supervise Training Goals and Planning: Oversee the implementation of training strategies and goals to meet business targets.
- Vendor and Partner Agreements: Develop and manage training agreements with external partners.
- Monitor Training Implementation: Ensure effective implementation of training functions, making corrective actions as needed.
- Develop Training Materials: Provide training materials for use during and after sessions.
- Certify Training Completion: Ensure training certificates are issued according to course completion.
- Safety Training Documentation: Oversee documentation of safety training exams and work permit authorizations.
- Training Documentation Management: Supervise documentation of all training details.
- Administer Training Software and LMS: Manage training software and the LMS system, with plans to hire an LMS administrator as needed. Collaborate with HR for non-manufacturing training/LMS needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree, Engineering preferred.
- Experience: 10+ Years of experience in which last 3 years in skills training or teaching/education.
- Preferred: Experience developing a training program or department.
