    The Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the purchasing process of goods and services for the company. This includes sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring materials and services at the best possible price while ensuring quality and timely delivery. The Procurement Officer works closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments to fulfill operational requirements, manage contracts, and maintain a reliable supply chain
    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    •Delivers the complete procurement cycle for the local and overseas purchase of medium-criticality, medium cost materials and services, ensuring end user requirements are met in terms of timelines, cost, quality and specifications.
    •Receives end-user requests for procurement of materials/services and undertakes checks to ensure completeness of information and proper authorization.
    •Accesses database to identify potential suppliers of non-critical, medium-criticality, medium cost materials and services. Prepares bid packages, invites bids, clarifies queries, receives offers and consults with end users to confirm compliance with technical specifications.
    •Analyses and evaluates proposals, comparing prices, specifications, and delivery dates to identify and recommend preferred suppliers.
    •Prepares post-approval documentation for authorization and placement with preferred supplier ensuring full protection of Company legal and commercial position.
    •Coordinates with Finance and other Procurement staff for the certification and resolution of supplier invoices within contractual timeframes.
    •Maintains data on the systems and on other paper-based filing systems to establish an audit trail and ensure ease of retrieval to produce activity and expenditure reports.
    •Ensures all purchasing activities are undertaken in line with established policies, procedures and standards to maintain and promote the integrity of operations.
    Job Specification:
    •Bachelor’s Degree in BSc. Industrial Engineering.
    •5-7 years of experience in a similar role, preferable construction Exp.
    •knowledge of vendor sourcing practices & Inventory Management is required.
