  Our client is a leading Large company in the field of Retail & Distribution. We are seeking a high-caliber Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company’s financial strategy, ensure robust governance, and drive sustainable growth in a dynamic market. Based in Baghdad, Iraq, this pivotal role will work closely with executive management to influence strategic and operational decisions.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and oversee the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial projections to support strategic company growth.

  • Treasury & Banking: Manage banking relationships, negotiate financing facilities, and oversee foreign exchange transactions to optimize liquidity.

  • Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of monthly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with IFRS standards.

  • Commercial Finance & Pricing: Collaborate with commercial leadership to evaluate promotional budgets, ensure financial controls, and establish accurate product pricing strategies.

  • Credit & Collection Oversight: Supervise credit control activities, including setting credit limits and monitoring monthly collection targets to improve efficiency.

  • Governance & Internal Controls: Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements from the Ministry of Trade and Ministry of Finance.

  • Leadership & Team Development: Direct and coach the finance department, fostering a professional environment and strong cross-functional collaboration.

  Requirements & Conditions

  • Education: BA in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CMA certifications are highly preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years of progressive financial leadership experience.

  • Specific Skill: Significant exposure to Retail or FMCG sectors; excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Languages: Native-level Arabic and professional English.

  • Salary: Starting from USD 10,000 net per month, plus housing and transportation allowances.

  • Working Days: 5 days per week.

  • Joining Time: Within 30 days.

  • Location: Baghdad, Iraq (Open to candidates applying from inside or outside the country).
