►Responsibilities
•Lead the technical evaluation of bids and vendor proposals for mechanical equipment, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, standards, and operational requirements.
•Review and analyze manufacturers’ offers for pipes, fittings, manual valves, motor operated valves (MOV), emergency shutdown valves (ESDV), and offshore hoses, and provide clear technical recommendations.
•Prepare technical clarification documents, bid evaluation reports, and comparison sheets to support vendor selection and procurement decisions.
•Coordinate with cross-functional teams including procurement, projects, operations, and engineering disciplines to resolve technical queries and align equipment selection with project needs.
•Support the development, review, and validation of mechanical specifications, datasheets, and material requisitions for assigned projects.
•Provide expert engineering judgment on mechanical design, equipment suitability, risk factors, and performance considerations to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
►Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
•Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within industrial, oil and gas, energy, or infrastructure projects.
•Proven hands-on experience in technical bid evaluation and in the assessment of manufacturers’ quotations for mechanical equipment.
•Strong knowledge of pipes and fittings, manual valves, motor operated valves (MOV), emergency shutdown valves (ESDV), and offshore hoses.
•Solid technical analysis skills with the ability to make sound engineering decisions based on specifications, commercial submissions, and operational requirements.
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams and external vendors.
•Good command of English, both written and spoken, with strong report-writing and technical documentation skills.
