Commercial Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Commercial Manager to lead the company's commercial and sales operations, drive sustainable revenue growth, expand market share, and maximize profitability. This role requires a strategic commercial leader capable of developing high-performing sales teams, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies across all business channels.
Description
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the annual commercial and sales strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Define annual sales targets, growth plans, and commercial priorities.
- Identify new business opportunities and market expansion initiatives.
- Establish and enhance commercial policies, procedures, and best practices.
Sales Management
- Drive the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
- Monitor sales performance across all sales channels and territories.
- Review sales results and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
- Expand market coverage and strengthen product distribution.
Customer & Business Development
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and business partners.
- Lead commercial negotiations and finalize major business agreements.
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term client retention.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen market presence and increase revenue.
Market Analysis & Business Planning
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and business performance reports.
- Monitor sales KPIs and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Present commercial performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to execute promotional campaigns and sales initiatives.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure product availability and operational efficiency.
- Work with Finance on budgeting, collections, and commercial performance monitoring.
- Ensure alignment between commercial objectives and operational execution.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop Sales Managers and commercial teams.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.
- Promote continuous learning and sales capability development.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience, including at least 5 years in a senior commercial or sales leadership role.
- Industry Experience: Mandatory experience within the FMCG sector.
- Skills: Strong strategic leadership, commercial management, negotiation, sales leadership, budget management, performance management, data analysis, decision-making, change management, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Languages: Arabic and English proficiency is preferred.
- Location: Baghdad, Iraq.
- Availability: Immediate or 30-day joining preferred.
