Description:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing end-to-end poultry operations, ensuring high standards of productivity, bird health, biosecurity, operational efficiency, and profitability. The role requires a strong combination of technical poultry expertise and managerial capability.
➤Key Responsibilities
▪ Oversee daily poultry operations, including rearing, feed, hatchery, slaughtering/processing, and production performance.
▪ Manage operations within cage-based poultry systems and ensure proper feeding, watering, ventilation, lighting, and environmental controls.
▪ Monitor bird health, mortality, growth rates, FCR, production efficiency, and biosecurity.
▪ Coordinate vaccination, medication, disease prevention, and veterinary programs.
▪ Supervise farm managers, supervisors, and operational teams while ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety, animal welfare, and food safety standards.
▪ Oversee feed usage, inventory, equipment, facilities, maintenance, and operational resources.
▪ Analyze production data, control costs, prepare performance reports, and implement operational improvements.
➤Qualifications & Experience
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
▪ Minimum 15+ years of relevant poultry operations experience, preferably within large-scale poultry companies.
▪ GCC experience is highly preferred.
▪ Strong hands-on experience in commercial poultry operations and cage systems.
▪ Experience supervising multiple areas of the poultry value chain, particularly rearing, feed, hatchery, and slaughtering/processing.
▪ Preference for candidates with substantial experience working within large, established poultry organizations, rather than primarily in consulting or small-scale operations.
