Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Coordination & Workflow Management
Equipment Deployment:
Coordinate the day-to-day deployment, scheduling, and maintenance of broadcast equipment, host media facilities, and Master Control Room (MCR) infrastructure.
Technical Dependencies:
Serve as the central point of contact for tracking technical dependencies between traditional AV/broadcast setups, venue IT networks, and streaming systems.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, asset registries, technical asset tracking, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for live event broadcasts.
Advanced Workflows:
Assist in coordinating IP-based broadcast setups, cloud production workflows, and digital asset management environments.
2. Stakeholder & Rights-Holder Relations
Interface:
Facilitate communications and logistical requirements between local entities, international sports federations, and external host broadcasting teams.
Broadcaster Access:
Coordinate media access, venue technical operations (VTO), and unilateral broadcast requests for Rights-Holding Broadcasters (RHBs).
Milestones:
Organize and track testing schedules, commissioning runs, and rehearsal milestones to transition systems smoothly into live operations.
3. Vendor & Infrastructure Support
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with local and international technology vendors, tracking service level agreements (SLAs) and equipment delivery timelines.
Readiness Monitoring:
Monitor venue readiness and coordinate immediate technical support or hardware replacement during critical live production windows.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience:
5 to 8 years of demonstrated experience coordinating technical operations within broadcast, media production, or major sports event environments.
Operational Knowledge:
Strong familiarity with live signal transmission paths (fiber, satellite, IP), non-linear editing pipelines, and smart venue systems.
Coordination Skills:
Superb organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven track record of managing complex schedules under tight live deadlines.
Communication:
Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills required to interface with international delegates and local public-sector stakeholders in Kuwait.
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
Sporting Movement:
Direct experience coordinating projects within the Olympic Movement (IOC/OBS), Asian Games, National Olympic Committees (NOCs), or International Sports Federations (IFs).
Frameworks:
Solid understanding of Olympic Results and Information Services (ORIS) frameworks and host broadcaster venue requirements.
Digital Transformation:
Background supporting technology delivery for large-scale public-sector digital transformation programs within the GCC region.
Education
Degree Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Media Technology, Broadcast Engineering, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
