    We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Investment Analyst to support our client , a U.S.-based investment team across securities research, financial modeling, portfolio analytics, performance reporting, Islamic and ethical investment screening, and trading support. This is a technical, non-client-facing position supporting investment funds and managed-account portfolios. The successful candidate will translate financial data into clear investment insights, maintain accurate reporting, and collaborate closely with portfolio managers, financial advisors, compliance personnel, and external service providers. The role requires excellent English communication, sound professional judgment, and the ability to work independently while remaining closely connected to the U.S. team.

    Key Responsibilities

    Investment Research and Financial Analysis

    Research prospective investments and existing portfolio holdings, assessing financial statements, business models, competitive positioning, valuation, and material risks. Build and maintain financial models, monitor company and industry developments, and prepare investment memoranda, company profiles, and presentations for the investment team.

    Islamic and Ethical Investment Screening

    Conduct initial and ongoing screening of investments using the firm’s approved Islamic Shari’ah, ethical, and values-based criteria. Review business activities, revenue sources, financial leverage, and applicable screening ratios. Perform purification calculations, maintain supporting documentation, and escalate screening exceptions or questions to the designated reviewers.

    Portfolio Analytics and Performance Reporting

    Maintain the firm’s performance reporting system and help ensure the accuracy of portfolio, benchmark, transaction, and cash-flow data. Prepare periodic performance reports, attribution analyses, factor exposure reports, and risk-adjusted return comparisons. Monitor portfolio concentrations, cash balances, and tracking error, and investigate reporting discrepancies.

    GIPS Verification and Data Quality

    Support the firm’s annual Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) verification by preparing records, reconciling data, and coordinating responses to verifier requests under management oversight. Maintain organized documentation and contribute to improvements in performance calculation, reporting accuracy, and data quality.

    Trading and Portfolio Implementation Support

    Assist in preparing trade files, allocation schedules, and rebalancing analyses as directed by authorized portfolio managers or advisors. Where specifically authorized, enter and execute approved securities transactions through firm-approved systems. Monitor order status, cash availability, trade allocations, and settlement issues, while maintaining accurate records and promptly escalating discrepancies.

    Fund Reporting and Compliance Support

    Review shareholder reports, daily fund reports, and related investment data for accuracy and consistency. Conduct assigned compliance testing and due diligence reviews, document findings, and coordinate follow-up.

    Investment Committee and U.S. Team Collaboration

    Prepare research materials and presentations for investment committee meetings, document approved decisions, and track follow-up assignments. Respond to analytical inquiries from U.S. colleagues and complete customized research for institutional and high-net-worth portfolios. Help improve research tools, reporting workflows, and operational efficiency.

    Required Qualifications

    Relevant experience: At least two years of professional experience, ideally three to five years, in investment analysis, equity research, asset management, portfolio analytics, investment banking, or a closely related field. Corporate finance candidates should demonstrate directly transferable investment research and modeling capabilities. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline. Financial and analytical skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling capabilities, with a strong understanding of financial statements, U.S. GAAP, fundamental valuation methods, and investment performance concepts. Ability to reconcile data, identify inconsistencies, and explain analytical findings clearly. Systems and market data: Practical experience with one or more financial research platforms, including Morningstar Direct, Workspace, Bloomberg, FactSet, S&P Capital IQ, or comparable tools. Familiarity with portfolio accounting, performance reporting, or trading systems is valuable. Language and communication: Fluency in English and Arabic, with near-native written and spoken English proficiency. Financial models, research notes, formal reports, and U.S. team communications will be prepared and conducted in English. Professional competencies: Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, organization, integrity, and dependable follow-through. Ability to manage competing deadlines, accept feedback, maintain confidentiality, and follow established investment and compliance procedures. Remote-work readiness: A dedicated, quiet home workspace, reliable high-speed internet, and appropriate backup arrangements for power and connectivity. Consistent availability during the agreed U.S.-aligned working schedule is essential.

    Preferred Qualifications

    A CFA charter or active enrollment in the CFA Program, a CMA designation, or a relevant master’s degree, such as an MSc in Finance or MBA. Experience with Islamic finance, AAOIFI screening criteria, purification calculations, GIPS verification, performance attribution, or U.S. mutual fund and ETF operations would be an advantage.
