Our client is an expanding restaurant and food service chain operating multi-branch outlets in Doha, Qatar. Focused on commercial growth, operational controls, and high-volume retail service, the company is seeking a diligent, analytical General Accountant to take full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, POS revenue reconciliations, inventory/food costing controls, and supplier ledger management while reporting directly to the Finance Manager / Chief Accountant. Key Responsibilities
- Full-Cycle Accounting & General Ledger: Execute all stages of the accounting cycle (AP, AR, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets); lead month-end/year-end closings, trial balances, and daily bank/credit card merchant settlements across branches.
- Restaurant Revenue & Food Costing: Audit daily POS sales data against bank deposits and delivery aggregator reports (Talabat, Snoonu, Rafeeq); track central kitchen/store inventory movements, recipe costing, wastage, and conduct periodic stock counts.
- ERP Operation & Excel Reporting: Log financial entries on Tier-2/Tier-3 ERP systems (Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics); build advanced Excel models for branch profitability, operational cost breakdowns, and cash position updates.
- Audit & Statutory Compliance: Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and annual statutory audits in compliance with IFRS and Qatari tax/regulatory standards (GTA, municipal fees).
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of solid accounting experience, with demonstrated exposure to restaurants, hospitality, or multi-outlet F&B chains.
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA qualification is strongly preferred.
- Technical Mastery: Expertise in end-to-end accounting, F&B food costing, store inventory control, Tier-2/Tier-3 ERP platforms (Odoo, Dynamics), and advanced Excel financial modeling.
- Languages: Professional fluency in English mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
- Location/Mobility: Based in Doha, Qatar (Inside Qatar preferred with valid QID and transferable sponsorship/NOC).
- Work Logistics: 6 working days per week; immediate to 30-day joining preference.
