    Position – Supply and Warehouse Superintendent

    Location - Attarat Maintenance Company (AMCO), Attarat Um Ghudran, Jordan

    The Supply and Warehouse Superintendent controls and directs the Storemen, Parts Expeditors and directly interacts with the Procurement Engineers who report directly to the Commercial Department. The core functions of this role are to manage and control the turnover of spare parts and materials, such that they are catalogued, securely stored and available for requisition when required. Stock is replenished to a pre-set level (s) according to the minimum/maximum rules. The warehouse is responsible for making sure that parts ordered through procurement are tracked and meet due dates, particularly when required by maintenance for repair or scheduled services.

    The Supply and Warehouse Superintendent reports directly to the AMM (Asset Maintenance Manager).

    .The Summary of the role accountability, responsibility and authority

    The Supply and Warehouse Superintendent shall: -

    • Control direct reports and provide them with direction that assures parts and materials are controlled, organized and distributed or stored.
    • Be responsible for the annual stock take of spares/materials making sure the inventory should balance and show no loss(es).
    • Ensure you have a current list and are aware of supply contracts for parts and materials.
    • Warehouse equipment shall be secured, cared for and maintained in safe working order e.g. forklift, packaging tools, etc.
    • Accountable for managing all inventory items making sure their shelf life and stored condition is preserved.
    • Participate in the monthly maintenance safety meeting and be familiarized with likely issues effecting warehousing.
    • Produce a monthly Warehouse Activity report that states, but is not limited to; turnover, on time delivery status and parts and materials backlog and order status. Produce the Maintenance Planning Monthly Report for AMM consumption.
    • Maintain effective relationship management with all AMCO stakeholders.
    • Ensure accuracy and integrity of receivals and dispatch documentation are in order
    • Mentor direct reports and employees within your area of influence and maintain harmonious team relations and prompt customer service.
    • Work closely with planning and maintenance teams and ensure parts supply is meeting user expectations.
    • Liaise with maintenance planning, supplier/OEM warranties, ensuring claims are expedited and settled as per policy and that directly affect the warehouse function.
    • Be accountable for data integrity and administration of the MMS program (Maximo)..

    Knowledge and Skills Required:

    • Able to demonstrate leadership qualities that keep the warehouse team motivated and engaged.
    • Possess very good computer literacy skills with a proprietary MMS system (Maximo or equivalent).
    • Some work experience configuring master data.
    • Assist with setting up Bill of Materials (BOM) and routine service kits ready for planned maintenance consumption.
    • Able to actively solve people issues centric to relationships and conflict. Recognize and advise the AMM of problems including personal or emerging people issues affecting work flow in the warehouse.
    • Experience effectively managing a small warehouse team in a continuous rotating shift, operational environment.
    • Have some basic technical knowledge of materials handling or mining heavy equipment asset technology and be able to identify most parts and components.
    • Prepared to work extended hours to support the team, when required.
    • Fluent in Arabic and very good English oral and written communication skills

    • Average overall knowledge of parts relative to large crushers, conveyors, screens and loading equipment is preferred.

    Qualifications Required:

    • Minimum >10 years’ solid work experience in a large mine maintenance or heavy industrial setting as a warehouse controller or parts interpreter/Expeditor lead.
    • A formal qualification in Supply Chain Logistics, or a Certification in Production and Inventory Management or equivalent is preferred.
    • Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office Suites - (Word and Excel) are required.
