    Job Purpose: Mine Structural Stability Engineer reporting for Operational Planning Superintendent is responsible for developing, maintaining and advancing our geotechnical systems and processes, providing key inputs to plan and deliver a cost effective robust mine plan safely and efficiently. Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Maintaining a minimum safe standard for all personnel, infrastructure and equipment on site
    2. Work closely with the planning, scheduling, geology and mine supervision teams to provide high quality designs for the extraction and dumping areas.
    3. Analyse and interpret data to allow for the effective benching of the open cast mine and overburden dumps ensuring wall stability and ground stability.
    4. Oversee the data collection, analysis and maintenance of the seismic and ground movement instrumentation processes.
    5. Define and communicate geotechnical learnings to continuously develop site-based geotechnical knowledge and awareness
    6. Mitigating geotechnical material hazards to the site and company
    7. Ensure geotechnical systems and procedures are in implemented, employed and maintained
    8. Identify and implement business improvement through problem solving, innovation and technology
    9. Demonstrating safety leadership and promoting safe practices and procedures in all facets of work
    10. Play an active part in the mine planning process
    11. Providing leadership and technical guidance to fellow engineers and technicians
    12. Any tasks related to planning, engineering and design assigned by the management.
    Minimum Qualification
    • Education: Bachelor Degree in Mining or Geological Engineering,
    • Relevant Experience: 4+ years in relevant field.
    Specialized knowledge
    • AutoCad 2D & 3D skills
    • Strong discipline in the field of technical information management (drawings, standards, documents) accuracy and control.
    • English language literacy
    • High level of computer literacy
    • An ability to write clear and concise reports.
    • Confidence
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Independence strong interpersonal skill, energetic and able to work with team or independently and under pressure;
    • Strong technical skills
    • Teamworking skills
    • Communication skills and dealing with any emergency problems professionally.
