Job Purpose
To oversee people, personnel and processes; maintain, control & manage the store/ warehouse in a safe, productive and efficient manner, thereby minimizing overheads and maximizing revenue for the business unit and creating value for customers.
Detailed Duties & Responsibilities
- Overall control of warehouses and responsible for safety as per guidelines of Department of Civil Defence – Qatar
- Stock and space management of all stores.
- Implementation of all SOP’s given by Management.
- Inventory Management
- Operate & maintain the warehouse/ stores in quality as per international standards & guidelines.
- Oversee installation of new stores, liaise with suppliers and vendors for new developments.
- Responsible for the overall safety& operation of the stores and warehouses.
- Close coordination with IT for development of control mechanisms and reports for Management utility.
- Assisting finance department on specific requirements for routine operations.
- Resolving critical people and process issues.
- Coordination with team for seamless delivery & business output
- Monitor team performance and conduct performance appraisals.
- Recruit, hire, train, evaluate and counsel store employees. Schedule, organize & direct assignments.
- Develop and implement employee performance evaluations and improvement plans.
- Effectively manage employee turnover. Provide a positive working environment and handle employee issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Utilise labour management tools, including effective scheduling, to maximize productivity, profitability and margins.
- Encourage store employees to take ownership for their performance and career development plans; follow up on a regular basis.
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure the employees also provide the same level of service.
- Communicate, execute, and manage marketing and merchandising programs.
- Conduct regular store meetings.
- Maintain and utilize surveillance equipments.
- Manage store revenue, including cash handling, deposit reconciliation, and delivery of deposit to bank.
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received, preparing purchase indents to expedite procurement processes
- Uses the principles of Supply Chain Management to ensure successful storage and retrieval of all goods and equipments
- Generates MIS related to Stores to assist the management in effective decision making
- Execute & monitor loss prevention and shrink programs,
- Management of all store operational issues, to include store housekeeping, store administrative duties, physical inventories, price changes, etc…
- Assign service orders to technicians, schedule technicians to perform delivery and installation work at customer sites and ensure a first in/ first out workflow.
- Prepare technician daily logs and route sheets for review by the General Manager
- Develops and monitors the annual stores budget for compliance
- Examines material specifications and performs routine audits to track optimal utilization of resources
