  • Develops Annual Plan & Schedule for the construction activities of the project
  • Establishes policies, process performance standards and operating procedures
  • Outlines work plan, assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority, aligning the engineer’s skills and objectives with the project and organizations objectives in terms of allocating manpower and resources, coaching, feedback, training, performance review and recognition
  • Prepares project proposal and determines time frame, budget, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of project
  • Monitors work teams for effective delivery of daily objectives & quality of work, including the control of work hours, overtime and incentive schemes to improve efficiency
  • Manages resources and equipment to achieve contract completion within budget and time
  • Liaises with the QHSE Department for the support for project safety and or quality to ensure Company Health, Safety & Environment and quality policy and procedures are covered to client satisfaction
  • Participates in regular meetings to identify problems related to manpower or the activities carried out
  • Reviews status reports prepared by site engineers and modifies schedules or plans as required
  • Verifies the manpower bills provided by the cost control department and must be responsible for the project billing
  • Develops installation procedures and method statement
  • Prepares Prefabrication Plan
  • Ensures proper w/s set-up and activities are carried out safely
  • Reviews and approves shop drawings and submits instructions to W/S Manager
  • Reviews and approves W/S requirements revised by W/S Manager
  • Provides On-site training for Manpower on Special tools, etc
  • Coordinates Labor transportation and lifting/loading/un-loading operations
  • Embeds effective controls and checks in internal financial transactions and proactively involves the department in cost cutting measures
  • Establishes good working relationships with site operations
  • To ensure use of proper safety procedures while carrying out work activities as per company safety policy and to undertake safety responsibilities
  • Maintains a good relationship with clients which is critical to the success of the engineering project
