  Competency Lead – Cloud & DevOps Job Specifications

  • 12+ years of professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with enterprise level cloud technology
  • Architect level certification and Hands-on cloud experience (Google Cloud / AWS / Microsoft Azure) is a must
  • Deep knowledge in DevOps, security, networking and cloud-based delivery models
  • Extensive knowledge in cloud security implementation and best practices
  • Familiar with tools like Chef, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes or similar
  • Solid experience in deploying, securing, backing up and maintaining large scale enterprise solutions
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Extensive experience in working in an agile framework (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban or similar)
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply

  Job Responsibilities

  • Identify the technology services to focus upon based on market trends
  • Build capability in identified areas through hiring, training etc.
  • Regularly publish knowledge artifacts for internal/external consumption
  • Innovate on process improvements from technology perspective to help reduce cost/improve service delivery
  • Identify key people team structure and own the team of people in the competency
  • Hire, train and retain technology team based on market trends
  • Prepare a growth plan for people in the competency
  • Provide a forum for people to share and collaborate on areas of relevant interest
  • Identify resources for the project delivery – support HR in the hiring process as required
  • Support people in delivery through SME support, reviews
  • Partner with sales & marketing teams to help in solution and estimation of proposal requests
  • Participate in webinars, events and marketing activities
  • Prepare all required Technical Proposal pertinent to Cloud and DevOps
  • Design and monitor the training and development initiatives
  • Supervise team deliverables
  • Provide metrics dashboards for all delivery stages
  • Contribute to strategic technology plans, decisions and roadmap
  • Design and architect secure and scalable cloud solution architectures
  • Create and deliver best practice cloud/DevOps recommendations and tutorials
