  • Description:
    • The candidate is responsible for managing all hands-on operational aspects of the company. He will assist the CEO in the aggressive and successful growth of the company by developing corporate and operational strategies. Also, he will ensure the highest standards are achieved in line with quality assurance policies, legal specifications and Health and Safety Policy. Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the company, the candidate provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
    • Principal Accountabilities& responsibilities
      • Responsible for the Operations, planning, execution and monitoring of projects.
      • Work closely with the CEO to develop and accomplish goals and strategic plans established by board members of the Company.
      • Drive the company to achieve profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
      • Implement the Quality Plan and systems regarding project construction.
      • Ensure that subcontractor’s duties are performed by competent and experienced personnel and in sufficient number.
      • Participate with projects Director in meetings with the Client’s Representative.
      • Identify, evaluate and record actual and potential Operational problems.
      • Organize and hold weekly briefing with project staff for site organization.
      • Review with material controller status of material delivery, distribution and availability.
      • Maintain awareness of new technologies that will increase the efficiency of the department and continuously devise and improve methods to stay ahead of the competition.
      • Remain knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and all aspects of the company’s market.
      • Develop a professional and open relationships with clients whilst ensuring the interests of the Company are protected.
      • Close working alliances with all support departments and supply advance information on all forthcoming projected and identified resource requirements.
      • Monitor and control the budget and budget-awareness within the department to ensure objectives are met within agreed limits.
      • Encourage and promote effective two-way communication at all levels to ensure all personnel are aware of Company objectives and possible constraints.
      • Establish key performance indicators for management of the operations group.
      • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external; Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the Company.
    • Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience
      • Bachelor degree from a recognized university in Civil Engineering or any equivalent.
      • At least 20 years’ experience out of which 8 yearsat managerial level in a similar field.
      • Experience working for leading contractor business on infrastructure and highways projects.
      • Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects with significant experience in a senior role.
      • Proficiency in financial management including budget monitoring and control, business modeling, financial reporting and annual accounts.
      • Good knowledge of the GCC market including sub-contractors.
      • Effective leadership skills including managing and developing staff and a proactive approach.
      • Ability to communicate with peers, sub-contractors and clients.
      • Plenty of initiative and goal-oriented keen to work as a team and have the drive to get the things done.
      • Be the primary contact with Project /Construction Managers for all project matters that arise in the field.
      • Ensure that subcontractor’s duties are performed by competent and experienced personnel.
      • MMUP Registered Engineer (UPDA) is a must.
      • GCC experience preferable.
