Senior Consultant, Cybersecurity (Iraq)
Role summary: -
Provides input and contributes to the planning and delivery of engagements related to the cybersecurity area, including work plans, timelines and project management and takes ownership and delivers a high standard of own work. May begin to lead delivery pieces of work or projects within engagement team.
Continues to build on cybersecurity knowledge and builds and maintains strong relationships with middle to senior level staff internally and externally.
Job Role & Responsibilities: -
- Managing client engagements and business development
- Takes decisions and directions from others in order to complete tasks and assignments.
- Solid experience and skills to execute defined activities
- Provides input and contributes to the planning and delivery of cybersecurity client engagements, which can be specialized of nature, including work plans, timelines and project management.
- May be part of leading pieces of work or projects within the engagement team.
- Takes ownership and delivers a high standard and quality of own work.
- Actively seeks out work from more senior team members and begins to execute defined activities.
- Continues to build on knowledge of the business and builds and maintains strong relationships with middle to senior level staff internally within COMPANY and externally at our clients.
- Seek direction from senior team members to start establishing networks with clients and across professional bodies and associations.
- This role may involve frequent traveling as per the project needs.
Skills & Experience: -
- A minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience in a consulting firm or an environment where same skills were developed (big-4 experience is a plus)
- Arabic and English-speaking and writing
- Preferably Iraqi (or willing to travel or relocate)
- Team player, proactive
- Familiar with the either of the following topics (not limited):
- cybersecurity maturity assessments, governance, risk management, compliance
- data privacy and security, data privacy impact assessments.
- Knowledge and experienced with either ISO27K, NIST CSF, GDPR, NIS-2018, ISA-62443 or NCA frameworks, SAMA CSF, CITC CRF (not limited)
- Experience in developing Cybersecurity Policies and Procedures based on the business needs.
- Strong analytical skills that help in articulating the business issues and needs, in addition to technical skills including reporting, business writing, benchmarking, structuring… etc.
- Soft skills including problem solving, decision making, leadership, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Preferable “Sector” Specific Experience in one of the following sectors: Public Sector, FMCG, Construction, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Transport, Education or IT/Technology.
Education & Qualifications: -
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferably in computer science or cybersecurity)
- Any Certifications or advanced courses related to cybersecurity such as CISA, CISSP, ISO 27001 LA/LI etc. is a plus.
