Description:
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the procurement team, including staff development, performance evaluation, and day-to-day coordination.
- Serve as the central point for strategic procurement decisions, including supplier evaluation and market analysis.
- Develop and implement annual departmental objectives in alignment with overall organizational goals.
- Monitor and assess departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Conduct risk assessments related to procurement activities and apply mitigation strategies.
- Analyze organizational procurement needs and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of procurement plans.
- Evaluate supplier performance and provide recommendations on supplier relationships and improvements.
- Oversee all phases of the tendering process, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and manage supplier negotiations in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Approve and maintain accurate procurement documentation, including purchase orders and compliance records.
- Prepare and analyze procurement performance reports to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Manage departmental finances, including budgeting, expenditure tracking, and cost optimization efforts.
- Coordinate with internal departments to define and fulfill material and service requirements efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements in all procurement-related activities.
- Represent the procurement function in internal and external communications, including stakeholder negotiations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree is advantageous.
- 10–15 years of experience in a senior procurement role, with proven leadership experience.
- Recognized certifications in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CIPS, CPP, CPM, CIPM) are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain operations, including planning, inventory, and logistics.
- Advanced skills in strategic planning, risk management, and supplier negotiation.
- Proficient in ERP systems and procurement analytics tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- High level of proficiency in English and computer applications relevant to procurement functions.
