  • Description:
    • The Quality Control Section Head is responsible for assuring consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing applicable food safety and quality systems, validating processes, providing documentation and managing staff.
    • Duties and Responsibilities:
      • Supervise the implementation and maintenance of the effectiveness of the food safety and quality program, based on company, customer, legal and regulatory requirements.
      • Supervise the implementation of Quality Control policies, specifications and procedures for inspecting and controlling raw or packing materials, in-process and finished product to insure that all products generated conform to predetermined standards and specifications.
      • Supervise human and physical resources to maximize efficiency and company investment.
      • Ensure the effectiveness of food safety related training for all food handlers (including newly hired) and address any training needs.
      • Supervise the application and updates for inspection and testing procedure, including finished products specifications.
      • Settle the QC inspectors daily shifts and rounds (including night shift).
      • Follow up daily insurance of QC maintenance of required records and documents, including formula test results, inspections, samples, vendor performance, and product complaints.
      • Collaborate with other departments to understand and troubleshoot product complaints and improve customer service/product performance.
      • Conduct finished products shelf life testing through verification of current and new products shelf life using known product quality characteristics and parameters and coordinate with food microbiology unit head for testing results validation and documentation.
      • Prepare monthly QC reports for maintenance, production, warehouses and procurement departments.
      • Prepare weekly reports of the factory QC status to the COO.
      • Coordinate and aids in problem evaluation and problem solving.
      • Maintain high standards of good personal hygiene for the food handlers.
      • Maintain high standards of the general cleanliness for the facilities equipment’s, building, cafeterias and amenities.
      • Monitor food sampling and handling at all facilities premises according to the settled sampling plans.
      • Supervise the QC personnel in case of any governmental, legal or customer audits.
    • Additional requirements:
      • BS in Nutrition and Food Technology or Food Science
      • +5 years of experience in food manufacturing Quality Control.
      • Experience working within local jurisdictional and regulatory authorities
      • Proficiency in MS Office.
      • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents.
      • Ability to respond effectively (written & verbal) to sensitive or highly technical inquiries.
